Updates

Doctor appointment went well today. I'm always nervous that somethings going to be wrong. It took her a couple of minutes to find the heart beat, but when she did it sounded great. Pumping hard. I'm glad Rob got to hear it also. I scored high on my depression test though, so I talked to her what was bothering me. Which is moving to Mt. Vernon. I have a lot of mixed feelings on it, but I have to do what I have to do. I know everything will work out.

My next appointment is February 1st, and then I have to schedule an ultrasound for my 20 week between February 1-8. Hopefully they'll be able to find out the sex! I also have to go back and get my tb test done because I was out of town the weekend I got it done and didn't get back in time to get it checked out. My bloodwork came back negative though, thank goodness.

I decided that I want to also get my baby checked for down syndrome whenever I have my 20 week appointment.

Now time for updates:

How far along? 15 weeks today.

Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 5 pounds. I am at 102 pounds.

Maternity clothes? I have one maternity shirt that Rob's grandma got for me. Otherwise, I've been living in sweatpants and t-shirts.

Sleep: I sleep very good.

Best moment this week: Rob and I getting to hear the babies heartbeat today. I'm always scared that they won't find it, so it's a big relief right now.

Movement: Not yet.

Food cravings: My appetite is pretty normal lately.

Gender: Unknown.

Labor Signs: No thank you.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Stretch marks? Yes, but not on my stomach.

What I miss: I don't miss nothing anymore. I'm very thankful for the baby in me, and I want to do everything I can to continue to keep it healthy.

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex next month.

Weekly Wisdom: I don't have any this week.

Symptoms: I guess tired. My symptoms have pretty much died down.

  1. I'm not sure if your doctor told you, but that test to check for down syndrome can cause a miscarriage. I would do a lot of research on every optional test they give you before you do it.

  2. Well she wrote down for me to get a quad screen, which is a blood test that measures the levels of certain hormones and proteins in my body. But if that's going to cause a miscarriage, then I refuse to do it.
