I'm a little late.

Blake turned 7 months on 01/17! I can't believe in 5 more more months we'll have a ONE YEAR OLD! He is growing so fast!

Not a lot has changed from 6 months. He is pretty much mobile now though. 

1. He likes to roll around the entire front room.
2. He has favorite toys.
3. He is going to be TALL!
4. He wears 6-9 months now.
5. He weighs 18 lbs.
6. He babbles.

Now a little update on myself. Rob & I have been "mall walking". We have been doing about a mile a day. I have an app on my phone that tells me how many calories I've burned. I didn't realize how out of shape I was! After a mile I'm pooped! I keep pushing myself though, because I want to lose the last of this weight so bad! I'm just glad it's roughly 10 lbs!

I wanna make a lot of changes this year. Starting with people. I'm beginning to realize who is real in my life and who isn't. As much as it hurts to get rid of certain people, it's for the best.

There is a 2 bedroom apartment that our landlord is remodeling. Hopefully it'll be done soon so we can go and look at it. I want to give Blake his own room even though he co-sleeps with us. At least it'll give us more room to store his stuff!

I have't blogged in a while, and I'm not sure what to blog about, so I guess I'll just go with the flow. Christmas was pretty good. On Christmas Eve we went to Rob's grandparents on his dad's side. After that we went by his parents, and then headed to mine where we celebrated the rest of Christmas Eve with my family. We spent the night, and headed to Rob's aunts over in Fairview for a little bit to celebrate with his mom's side of the family. Over all it was a really good Christmas and we all got a lot of good things!

I stayed with my mom the rest of the week and came home on Monday. Blake was sick pretty much the whole time and didn't sleep much. When we got back, Rob's parents kept him all night and Rob and I ended up sleeping instead of celebrating. So the first night home I had Blake all night, he slept really good :) Maybe it's just the comfort of home? I don't know, but he slept until 9AM.

I'm not gonna lie...

It really bothers me when people say Blake is "big". He's a healthy, growing boy. Get it right!

I posted a status about his weight the other day and I got a 'whoa' and a 'wow'. Really? He's perfectly fine for his height & weight. He is six months, 17 lbs, 27 1/2 in. He's in the 41 % for his weight, and 84 % for his height.

On halloween my cousin came over with his baby girl, who is a month older than Blake and weighs about 11/12 lbs. (That's a guess, because she was 10 lbs at six months). I kept hearing "Blake's a beast!" "Wow, he's like double her size!" SO WHAT?! He's HEALTHY! This is where he's SUPPOSED to be!

Blake's SIX Month Update!

Blake at six months:

He loves green beans & sweet carrots! Actually, he loves food all together! Anytime I'm eating he'll stare at the food, or try to grab for it. Sometimes I'll give him a little taste ;)

Anytime we try to change his diaper, he'll roll over and try to take off! He can't crawl yet, but he kicks his little feet like he's trying to get away.

He will stare at his hands, and try to put his feet in his mouth. He's so interested in them.

He will kick his feet when he starts to throw a fit, and scream to get your attention. The only time he cries is when he wants a bottle RIGHT away!

He still sucks his thumb!

He LOVES to pull my hair! He'll grab it, yank it, then try to put it in his mouth. It hurts so bad!

He still drinks 7 oz and he is in a size 2 diaper.

New beginnings?

Since Blake is taking a nap, I decided to re-do my layout a little bit. I wanted something more mature and exciting. I feel like my blog is so boring, but no one reads it anyway.

I decided to go on birth control again, and just like before, it's making me mean and impatient. The reason I decided to go back on it again is because I had a pregnancy scare. The condom broke completely! I was in complete stress & anxiety until I finally started my period. I have never been so excited to start my period before. Sorry if that's too blunt, but I could of shouted it from the roof tops!

It's been a bad one this week though. I feel like I can smell everything, and thoughts of certain foods make me sick. I'll be glad when it's over with. I am gonna stop taking the last week of my birth control so that it will stop me from having a period completely. My best friend & my aunt do the same thing. I talked to my aunt about it, to make sure I'd still be protected. I have a check up Dec. 26 (ugh) and I'll talk to them about it as well.

Rob gave me my Christmas present early (the day after Thanksgiving). A galaxy s3! I absoultely love it! It took me a few days to get used to the touch screen. I'm still a little slow at texting, but I'm getting better each day. I ordered a case for it off of amazon, but it's taking forever to get here. Probably because it's coming from Hong Kong.

We also ordered Blake this adorable hat. It's been getting cold here (in the 30's) lately. My aunt also got him another hat simiular to that, but it's a blue bear I think. We need to buy him a winter coat, but are having no luck in finding him any!

There's this website on facebook that is pretty much a rummage sale. We ended up getting him some clothes since he's gonna be in 6-9 months very soon! They are all in great condition and super cute. I've sold a few things on there myself. The only thing I hate about it is when you have to meet with multiple people in one day! 

A year ago.

A year ago today, I was 11 weeks and had my second ultrasound. I remember, Blake was just wiggling around. Now he's taking a nap on our bed.

It's crazy how fast time flies. Everyone said it would, but I didn't expect it to be this fast. My baby boy will be six months in just nine short days. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. It was the most painful/exciting day of my life.

Now he sits, smiles/laughs, rolls around, GROWLS. I love my big boy so much!

My five month postpartum update & Thanksgiving.

I am still struggling with my weight. I stay around 106-108 pounds. That is my fault though, I am addicted to bad food. I'm not depressed about my body per say though. I'm pretty much just content with it and I have faith in myself that one day (hopefully soon) I will drop these last 10 pounds.

Btw, I haven't wore those jeans since before I was pregnant. I have a pair of jeans that my friend Tara gave me from Hollister with holes in them, which Rob's grandma hemed up for me and we need to go pick them up today. I'm soooo excited to try them on! They are a size 3 (so are the one's in the picture) so I hope they fit just as good.

Now on to my Thanksgiving...

Me and Rob had plans with both of our families, so we went to my mom's first, ate, drew names for our Christmas present drawing (does anyone elses family do that?) and then headed back to Mt. Vernon. We stopped by the apartment and I went over my hair (I am re-obsessed with my curl wand!!) and headed to his grandma Kaye's. We stayed there for an hour or so. We left Blake with Rob's parents and decided to go to Black Friday. Blake stayed the night at Rob's parents so we didn't have to take him with us. When we got there we saw that the phones don't go on sale until 5AM so we went home and napped until 2AM and headed back up there.


We waited in line for an hour or so, but only got one phone because with the fee it was over $500 and Rob only have 400 something. He let me have it, of course, but he was pretty upset that he couldn't get the phone he's been wanting for months which made me feel like shit. I am truely greatful though!! Best Christmas present ever (:
