Emergency rooms suck

Back in November I went to the emergency room because I had some brown spotting that I was worried about. It ended up being some kind of infection that pregnant women can get, and they gave me four giant pills and a shot in the ass that made me throw up and feel like shit all evening. Well, I didn't have my medical card at the time because it hadn't came in the mail yet. They said when I got the card, it would take care of my bill. But then they told me I had to pay $200 for the visit. Well, I don't have 200 fucking dollars (and thank the lord I didn't give them that much). They agreed that I can pay $25 and that when I got my medical card they would refund it and they gave me a receipt. Well I held onto the receipt, and brought it into the hospital billing department to take care of my bill and to refund me that $25. She talked to me, copied all of my shit and I left.

A month later, I haven't heard anything back about that $25. After calling back for over a week, I finally get ahold of someone. She tells me she can't find anything on the money and to bring the receipt in. Then she calls me back a few minutes later saying she found it and accidentally put it under a different file. I got excited, until she said she doesn't know if it can be refunded and that it might of been some kind of co pay. Seriously?! Like I said earlier THANK THE LORD I DIDNT GIVE THEM $200! The lady, whose name is ON the receipt told me that I would get it back. That is why I've had this fucking receipt for 3 months. I know $25 isn't a lot, but we need it. Especially after being told I'd get it back. If I knew this, I wouldn't of paid them A DIME.
